  1. Tom Nakashima …my prof in graduate school WVU, 1978 when I started in your painting studio class. So moved to see your work, to hear you talk about this show. You always spoke as if you were smiling even during critique.
    .. I think, no matter your inspiration, you seem to be in on a private joke…. not in anyway a satirical or demeaning joke…more like you understand and are enjoying the conditions of that situation.
    Wakarimasu ka? ( I believe that’s correct)
