One of many “retablo paintings” inspired by Mexican retablos, ex-votos, and Frida Khalo.  This stick image was first used in my sculpture “Monument to A  World War”.  It may be inspired by ‘The big stick’ in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 and the Big Bomb of Doctor Strangelove & Slim Pickens.
